TFS Connect

Welcome to your alumni networking platform!

With more than 2,900 TFS alumni around the world, there are literally hundreds of reasons to stay connected with each other and to TFS!

What is TFS Connect?

TFS Connect is a secure networking platform that helps you locate and communicate with former classmates and stay connected to our extraordinary school, TFS. You can update your profile, ask for support, post events and news to share with the alumni community, and seek out alumni who share your professional or personal interests. TFS Connect is a vibrant, robust online network that provides increased opportunities for engagement. The TFS Connect app, available through iTunes or Google Play, is accessible at all times. Make sure to get the most out of this great resource.

TFS Connect is maintained by the Office of Advancement & Alumni Relations. Each new graduate automatically becomes a member of the TFS Alumni Association (TFSAA) and is added to TFS Connect.

The Alumni Relations team uses email to regularly communicate with alumni. It’s important to keep your contact information up-to-date, to ensure that you always receive the latest information about upcoming alumni and school events, TFS news, as well as volunteer opportunities.

Why Join?

TFS alumni are interesting and diverse. They are proud of their TFS education and have a strong affinity to the school. Our alumni have entered a staggering array of careers and have visited, studied or lived in countries all over the globe. Sharing and swapping stories about their journeys and using TFS Connect helps them stay connected with one another and the school.

The opportunities for networking, both online and in-person, for TFS alumni are simply amazing.

A TFS mentor is someone whose hindsight can become a student’s foresight

Remember all of the people who helped and guided you over the years? Wasn’t it great to have someone to mentor you, and offer advice or suggestions from time to time?

What a great opportunity to honour their support, by becoming a mentor yourself.

TFS alumni are actively involved in the life of our school. As a graduate, you have so much to offer a TFS student of today. Mentoring can be one of the most rewarding ways you can give back to your alma mater. It’s also a great way to stay engaged and connected to TFS after graduation.

What Does a Mentor Do?

A TFS mentor is a valuable resource for students nearing graduation. When you participate in the TFS Mentorship Program you agree to be contacted by a current student enrolled in Level IV or Level V. They’ll have questions about academic programs, potential career paths and post-secondary schools. They’ll probably be interested to hear about your career and life as well.

Help the next generation of TFS students succeed. It’s so easy to join.

Support TFS

As an alumnus/a of TFS, you know the true value of a TFS education

That’s why it’s so important that alumni continue to support TFS. Together with the school community, we can enhance the legacy of philanthropy that defines TFS-Canada’s International School. Every gift, large or small, makes a difference.

Throughout our history, philanthropy has been at the heart of moving the school forward. Reflecting on our humble beginnings, it is amazing to think of how much TFS has grown over the years. Today, we have four branches set over two campuses and are enjoying record enrolment. With its international reputation for academic excellence, our alumni can be proud of their alma mater.

There are many ways in which alumni can continue to support excellence at TFS. Here are some:

TFS Entrance Scholarship Program

The Entrance Scholarship Program will open the door of opportunity to welcome students entering Grade 7 or above with a full scholarship renewable through to graduation. Welcoming bright young minds with a broad range of perspectives, talents and backgrounds promises a diverse, dynamic and energetic student body. This inclusive initiative will also serve to enrich the educational experience for all TFS students.

In order to sustain and grow the program, we will need the continued support of our alumni and parent community.

The Class Fund Program

The Class Fund program has been a tradition at TFS for many years, a program that TFS alumni were instrumental in helping to establish through the TFSAA — and one that they continue to generously support each year!

All gifts to the Class Fund program are endowed in perpetuity and invested by the TFS Foundation. The annual investment income earned is then used to help provide bursary support to current TFS students whose parents are faced with unexpected financial constraints, allowing them to remain at the school and complete their TFS education.

The TFS Foundation will match one-to-one all gifts by alumni to their Class Fund. As the Class Fund program continues to grow over time, so too does the income generated to support TFS students in need.

Matching Gifts

Many companies will match the charitable contributions made by their employees. Some will even match volunteer hours with a financial donation to the nonprofit organization of choice. Contact the Office of Advancement & Alumni Relations for more information.
